Why it fits
Made for things with a date.
Reach people near the venue.
Run ads near the venue, along the routes people take to get there, and where your audience already spends time. You aren't blasting a whole region. You are choosing the boards.
Run it in phases.
A pre-sale push, then a last-chance burst. Swap the artwork and change the hours while the campaign runs. No one needs to be emailed.
Stop any time.
The event sold out? Pause the campaign with a click and stop spending. You pay for plays, so a paused campaign costs nothing.
Where to run it
Where people are heading.
Put everything near the venue, spread it along the commuter routes, cover the precincts around it, or mix all three. You pick boards on one map.

Along the routes.

Questions about event ads.
How far ahead should I start?
Four to six weeks is the usual run-up. Two to four weeks works in a pinch, and you can go shorter with urgency messaging in the final stretch. Setup takes minutes, so paperwork doesn't eat your lead time.
Can I target boards near my venue or along the route?
Yes. You can concentrate everything near the venue, spread across commuter routes, cover the nearby precincts, or combine all three. You pick boards on a map, wherever they are available.
Do I need a big budget?
No. You pay per play, with no subscription and no setup fees, and you choose what you spend. A tight budget works, and so does a campaign across several cities. I don't set a minimum. Some publishers do, and I'll tell you before you commit.
